As a Specialist Orthopaedic Surgeon, Dr Richard Crowley believes in providing supportive, empathetic and comprehensive patient centred care. He provides specialist services in hip and knee replacement surgery, knee ligament reconstruction and arthroscopic surgery, and shoulder rotator cuff surgery.
Since 1998 Dr Crowley has practiced orthopaedic surgery in both the private and public hospital arenas, enabling him to deliver to his patients both the compassionate and expert care they deserve.
Dr Crowley draws on his extensive local and international training and experience to help patients formulate a treatment plan that is best suited to their individual needs and priorities. He recognises the value of a professional but personal relationship with his patients, enabling him to gain a real understanding of their reasons for seeking treatment and the outcomes they hope to achieve. He believes strongly in leveraging a collaborative approach to provide care to his patient with both straight forward and complex problems.
Since commencing specialist practice, Dr Crowley has dedicated time to providing rural and remote orthopaedic surgical services. He also continues to be actively involved in the education of orthopaedic surgical trainees and medical students.
